Advanced Diploma in
Business & Information Technology

Validated by James Watt College, Scotland, UK

The Advanced Diploma in Business and Information Technology (ADBIT) is an applied vocational course aimed at the needs of industry rather than mere theoretical courses, which are commonly found elsewhere. Theoretical courses offer you little relevant training and self-development.

This course is suitable for those who wish to take up a middle management position. Studying at this level will expose you to corporate business and the Information Technology (IT) aspects as well.

You will be equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to carry out managerial and IT duties effectively and efficiently.

In today’s competitive business world, IT plays a major role in exploiting and enhancing commercial business to the fullest potential. In many business sectors the special combination of IT and business skills is seen to be the key to being a market leader. The business IT award focuses on using IT to solve modern business problems.

ADBIT students will study the various mega projects of our country and how IT plays an important role in the business arena. You will be able to make vast and valuable contributions to your organisation. You will be able to offer constructive suggestions at meetings, whether they are to discuss a budget, production plan, sales and marketing targets, profit ratios or manpower planning.

You will be instrumental solving problems thus enabling your department to become more profitable. You will have gained team-building skills that draw your subordinates and peers to work towards uniform goals.

Your superiors and clients will be impressed with your hands-on abilities, which will be a big plus point for you.

The course has proven to be a very powerful tool and it has led to many career advancements for our past students. Many were offered job promotion or new businesses. You will be well suited to one of the many careers that use IT in business at a management level. Your graduate destination is likely to be within an IT department, developing IT systems as well as servicing the various IT needs.

Upon completing the ADBIT programme from JWC you may take up a career in the area of IT Systems Development, IT Systems Analysis and Design or even IT Network Management.

The course is totally modular where two or three modules are taught in two to three months on a seminar basis.

The seminars conducted are very practical involving class discussions, case studies, roleplays, report writing and presentations. These practical exercises will enhance your understanding of theories and help you to relate them to real life situations. At the end of each module, you will have to write a case study based assignment.

This is certainly a golden opportunity for you to acquire the prestigious award to ensure a successful executive future.

At Excel Open Learning, your investments will be safe and your returns will be an excellent and brighter future ahead.
